Privacy Policy

All Set is built to help you discover London set menus. We've designed it to collect as little personal information as possible. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account. This page explains what data the app does touch, why, and what choices you have.

The short version

What information the app collects

1. Saved restaurants

When you tap the heart on a restaurant, the restaurant's ID is saved to your device's local storage. This list never leaves your phone and is not visible to us. Deleting the app removes it.

2. Anonymous analytics

The app collects anonymous usage analytics, on by default, so we can understand which features matter and improve the app. The app sends events to PostHog (an analytics service). The events tell us things like which restaurant pages are viewed, which filters are used, which booking buttons are tapped, and how often the app is opened.

These events carry no personal data, no name, email, phone number, or account information, because the app has none, only an anonymous device identifier and the in-app action. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no advertising. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Anonymous analytics, and no further events will be sent.

3. Location (only if you grant permission)

The app asks the operating system for your location so it can show distances to restaurants and the "Near Me" category. Your coordinates are used in-app to calculate distances and are not transmitted to us or any third party. If you deny location permission, the app still works, you just won't see distances.

4. Website analytics and cookies

Our website (allsetlondon.com) uses the same anonymous analytics service, PostHog, to understand which pages and set menus are popular. This runs in two tiers. For every visitor we collect anonymous, aggregate usage in a way that stores nothing on your device: no cookies and no browser storage. These events carry no personal data and cannot be tied to you across visits, so we rely on them only for totals like page views and menu opens.

If you accept cookies on the banner shown on your first visit, we set a single analytics cookie so we can recognise a returning browser and understand how people move through the site. This is optional. If you reject non-essential cookies, the website works exactly the same and we keep collecting only the anonymous, cookieless tier above. We remember your choice so we do not ask again, and you can change it by clearing your browser storage for this site. There is no advertising and no cross-site tracking.

5. Crash and performance data

Apple may collect crash and performance reports through the App Store. These reports are governed by Apple's own privacy policy and we receive only anonymised, aggregated information.

6. Push notifications (only if you opt in)

If you turn on notifications, we store an anonymous push token for your device so we can send you occasional alerts about new set menus. The token is an opaque identifier issued by the notification service, it is not your name, email address, or phone number, and it cannot be used to contact you any other way. Notifications are off by default: you'll only receive them if you both accept our in-app prompt and grant the system permission.

You can switch notifications off at any time in Settings → Notifications (or in iOS Settings). When you do, we delete your token from our records and no further notifications are sent. Consenting to push notifications applies to push notifications only, we don't gain any other way to contact you, and there is no email list.
