London set menus that run all weekend, from £13.50
From a two-Michelin-star lunch in Mayfair to a Camden Town taverna at £13.50, on Saturday and Sunday
A set lunch in London on a Saturday or a Sunday can take its time: no meeting to get back to, no afternoon of emails waiting. These set menus run on both days of the weekend, from a club-style dining room on Albemarle Street to a Greek-Cypriot taverna on Plender Street, so a fixed price is there for the weekend as well as the working week. Lunch can run late into the afternoon, and a second bottle is a decision for the table, never for the diary.
Taken together, they show how far a weekend set lunch can stretch. At Gymkhana it is a ceremony of pappadums and club chutneys under two Michelin stars; at Andromeda it is a starter and a main from family recipes that have fed Camden since the late 1990s.
01 | Gymkhana
Mayfair

three or four courses £75 to £85, Mon to Sun, 12pm to 2.30pm
Gymkhana takes its name and its manners from the members' clubs of colonial India. Lunch opens on pappadums with club chutneys and aloo chaat, then kid goat methi keema, then Goan prawn curry with saag makai and dal. The Michelin Guide awarded a second star in 2024, making it London's first two-star Indian restaurant, and it points lunch towards the ground-floor booths. Kulfi falooda to finish is £10 more.
02 | Manthan
Mayfair

three or four courses £30 to £35, Mon to Sun, 12.30pm to 4pm
Flavour-packed snacks open the Linner Menu at Manthan, which moves on through India's street food to grills and curries. The kitchen draws on Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and serves it all in a Maddox Street townhouse built around a central statement bar. Its own guiding phrase is "To churn and reflect", and the menu blends traditional and contemporary Indian cooking.
03 | Caravan Fitzrovia
Fitzrovia

three courses £56, Mon to Sun
Sage and onion cornbread, with gravy butter and red onion marmalade, starts the table on the Autumn/Winter set menu at Caravan Fitzrovia. The building was once the headquarters of BBC Radio 1, and its big windows look out on three streets. Downstairs is a private dining space, too. Chicken schnitzel arrives in a fermented Calabrian chilli butter sauce, and the coffee comes from the company's own roastery.
04 | Mignonette
Richmond

two or three courses £28 to £32, Sat, 12pm to 4pm
Twenty-five seats on Kew Road, open since September 2024 and holding a Bib Gourmand by February 2025: Mignonette moved fast. Sunday is when the kitchen serves its own take on the roast, and the Sunday set is two or three courses £32 to £35, 12pm to 4pm. The Michelin Guide called it a "Terrific Little Restaurant", and a private dining room downstairs seats up to 35 for a bigger weekend table.
05 | Levan
Peckham

two or three courses £20 to £25, Tue to Sun, 12pm to 3pm
Take a stool at the kitchen counter at Levan, a seasonal bistro just off Rye Lane with a Bib Gourmand. Hot Dinners calls the house-cured sardines a "firm favourite", and next door Bar Levan runs as a wine bar, kitchen and shop. The kitchen has cooked with an emphasis on sustainability and seasonality since it opened in November 2018, as Hot Dinners reported.
06 | Andromeda
Camden Town

two courses £13.50, Mon to Sun, 12pm to 3pm
Andromeda has cooked Greek food from family recipes in Camden since the late 1990s. A starter and a main might be taramosalata and then grilled sheftalia, and walk-ins are welcome. This is a warm, traditional Greek-Cypriot taverna known for generous platters, with moussaka and kebabs on the menu too.
On a Saturday or Sunday a set lunch can fill the whole afternoon, from club chutneys in Mayfair to sheftalia off the grill in Camden. Weekday lunch has its own map, in every London lunch set menu.
