3 new set menus, mostly south of the river
Three new tables, from Clapham Common to Battersea Power Station, with a Soho glass of fizz for balance
We've been busy south of the river. Three new set menus have just landed in the app, and two of them sit a short walk from a common or the Thames: neighbourhood tables in Clapham and Battersea, the sort of independent local you'd want on your own doorstep. The third is a slice of Soho glamour, for balance.
Prices start at £20 for two courses in Battersea and top out at £29.95 in Soho, with a glass of fizz thrown in. Every one of them is bookable direct on All Set. Here are the three, made for the long, slow summer lunches that quietly turn into evenings.
01 · Minnow
Clapham

A wisteria-draped bistro on Clapham Common, two courses £25 / three £29.
Minnow looks out over Clapham Common from a dining space trailing with pink wisteria, and its weekday prix fixe is one of the friendliest in south London. Two courses are £25 or three are £29, Monday to Thursday from midday right through to a quarter to seven, so it works for a late lunch or an early dinner alike. There's also a £30 Sunday Roast Club with all the trimmings, served family-style. A proper neighbourhood find.
02 · Fiume by Sartoria
Battersea

Riverside Italian beneath Battersea Power Station, two courses £20 / three £25.
Fiume sits right on the water at Circus West Village, in the shadow of Battersea Power Station, cooking the same polished Italian as its Mayfair sibling Sartoria. The set lunch is £20 for two courses or £25 for three, served daily from midday to 3pm, and best taken on the terrace with the river going by. Smart Italian cooking at a genuinely gentle lunch price.
03 · Old Compton Brasserie
Soho

Soho glamour and a glass of fizz to start, three courses £29.95.
The one north-of-the-river pick, and worth the trip. Old Compton Brasserie does three courses of Modern British cooking for £29.95, and every table starts with a complimentary glass of prosecco. It runs all day Monday to Thursday, Friday lunchtimes and Sunday evenings, in a setting that is pure Soho glamour. A little occasion built into an everyday price.
