England's group games all kick off late: Croatia on Wednesday 17 June and Ghana on Tuesday 23 June at 9pm, then Panama on Saturday 27 June at 10pm. Late starts are good news, because they leave plenty of time for a proper dinner before you find a screen.
So we pulled together five London set menus that serve into the evening on all three match days, Saturday included. From the country's number-one gastropub to a gilded Indian palace that runs until 10pm, here is where to eat before kickoff.
01 · The Devonshire

The UK's number-one gastropub, with a Guinness made for kickoff.
Officially the country's best gastropub for 2026, and the most fun you can have before a match. Fire-grilled skirt steak and sticky toffee pudding for £29 (two courses £25), plus what might be London's most famous pint of Guinness. It is Soho's hottest table, so book well ahead.
02 · Colonel Saab
Holborn
A gilded former town hall that serves its set menu until 10pm.
Inside the old Holborn Town Hall, Colonel Saab is all gilded ceilings, colour and regional Indian cooking. The set menu starts at £34.95 and runs from 5.30pm to 10pm every night, so it carries you right through even the Saturday 10pm kickoff. Easily the most photogenic dinner on this list.
03 · Leydi
City of London
An Istanbul mangal feast for the whole table, seven nights a week.
Leydi turns out modern Turkish cooking built for sharing. The Leydi Deluxe (£55 per person) is a full-table feast of meze, lahmacun, smoky mangal-grilled kebabs, pilav and dessert. The most sociable dinner here, which is rather the point on a match night, and it runs every evening of the week.
04 · Shakedown at The Dixon
Tower Bridge
Comfort-food crowd-pleasers in a converted courthouse, every night.
Shakedown sits inside the former Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court and keeps things gloriously simple: crispy chicken Milanese, proper fish and chips with minted mushy peas, a crème brûlée to finish. Two courses £25, three for £35, open seven days. Easy, fun matchday food without the fuss.
