Two directions out of Sloane Square

Sloane Square station sits where two neighbourhoods meet. North and east lie the garden squares of Belgravia, and west runs the King's Road into Chelsea. The set menus follow that split, and the character of a lunch changes with the direction of the walk.

The Belgravia side is polished and calm. Amaya's grills sit in Halkin Arcade, where lunchtime light reflects off pink sandstone, and Cornus looks out from a rooftop over Eccleston Yards. il Pampero has window booths and a bar that The Infatuation describes as having a "rat-pack, high-roller look".

The Chelsea side turns colourful and lively. Ixchel is a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar dressed in jungle greenery, and The Chalk Freehouse fills two floors of a pub on Tryon Street with an open kitchen. For more on the neighbourhood, see all set menus near Sloane Square.

Fixed prices that fit around the day

Around Sloane Square the hours matter as much as the price. il Pampero holds its set menu from 12pm to 10pm every day, so the same two or three courses serve a late lunch or a late supper. Kahani runs its three courses until 6pm, with Cadogan Hall across the road.

The Chalk Freehouse serves its set menu twice on weekdays, at lunch and again from 5.30pm to 6.15pm. Cornus keeps its set lunch to Wednesday to Saturday, and Amaya's lunch platters run every day of the week. Our guide to pre-theatre set menus in London covers early sittings across the city, and every set menu guide is in one place.
